My Experience :

Maybelline has always kept its customers glued to the Brand by providing products of good quality with affordable price. I personally am very much attached with Maybelline’s products. I already reviewed a lot of products from Maybelline. This is one more product from the brand which attracted me a lot! I was always fascinated with the color changing lip balms. In my childhood, I used to buy a lip balm which cost me 30/- and it too used to change color of my lips after application. Same is the mechanism of this lip balm too.

Well, Maybelline Lip Smooth Color Bloom Lip Balm – Pink Blossom comes in a cute pink colored bullet and to use the product you need to twist it up. It is a creamy, white colored lip balm. On application, the color changes from transparent to light pink color.

This lip balm is totally non-sticky, does not feel waxy on lips at all. If swatched once, you get a light pink color and if swatched 2-3 times you build a darker color on your lips. it doesn’t settle into fine lines. However, the color looks totally different on different lips. for example, if someone has got totally pink lips then it would bloom out a beautiful pink color on her lips. But if  someone has got partial pink lips or pigmented lips – it doesn’t show off that well. It is quite depressing factor.

However, it is quite moisturising and stays for upto 2-3 hours. it feels totally light on your lips. it has got SPF 16 which is a protecting formula for lips. It has got a naturally protective formula comprising of jojoba oil, Pro Vitamin – E, antioxidant such as blue berry extract. You must be knowing that the skin on lips is 3 times more delicate than our facial skin and hence, we should use those products which would protect our skin. This particular lip balm has got a shelf life of about 3 years. So it would last a loooooooooong time!!!

The only problem which I face is that the moisturising factor is a bit low and when you apply more and more swipes of this lip balm, you tend to get darker lips – which may not suit every occasion.

Pros of the Product :

  1. The packaging is quite sturdy and travel friendly.
  2. Quantity is good for the price.
  3. It has got a naturally protective formula with jojoba oil, Pro Vitamin – E and blue berry extracts.
  4. It has got SPF 16
  5. It has got a shelf life of about 3 years.
  6. It is available everywhere.
  7. It is non-sticky and don’t give that waxy feeling at all.
  8. One swipe gives you a sheer pink color, whereas 2-3 swipes build a beautiful dark pink color.

Cons of the Product :

  1. The color changing effect looks different on different lips. pigmented lips do not get a full coverage.
  2. Staying power is about 2-3 hours only.

Excluding these it is an amazing product!!

Overall Verdict : Maybelline Lip Smooth Color Bloom Lip Balm – Pink Blossom is very cute, color changing lip balm. It changes according to type of lips. it is completely non-sticky and non-waxy. I would recommend this to everyone. Try it and lemme know your reviews and experience regarding the product.
